Happy Birthday el Pops!

Today is my Dad's birthday. Greg and I racked our brains trying to figure out what to give the man who has pretty much everything (and never really wants a thing from his kids that isn't a card or homemade). We decided that this year we would give "the birthday boy" a German chocolate cake - albeit an inedible one. I could go on and on and on about how awesome my Dad is - but I think the fact that he has already called me this morning to tell me how much he loves the cake/hat and how he is planning on wearing/taking it into his office says the most. I mean a Dad who would love something so ridiculous just because it was made by me is pretty awesome. I just hope to get a picture of him wearing it soon. Here is a picture of Greg modeling the amazing concoction (and yes, Greg is wearing his beloved track suit given to him by my mom).

Happy Birthday!! It is quite the cake/hat. I have had a hankering for German-chocolate ever since. Good work KT on another fantastic yarn creation.

That hat looks good enough to eat! Plus, it's high fiber and low fat so it's good for you, too. It is deliciously awesome. Nice knitting, Kitty. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mr. CARLSTON!!

Happy Birthday Uncle Mike! We were just talking about how much he loves that cake yesterday! I love the hat that actually looks like it too! Good job!

My girls have been working NONSTOP on their homemade gifts for Dad. It will be TOUGH to top the hat. But with Dad, it's not about topping. Everyone feels like they are his favorite!

Whoo what a great hat. That should be a birthday boy or girl staple.
Happy Birthday I hope that the hat is worn proudly!

Krissi, the hat was a great hit. He took it to work, wore it at the party and even went to the closet to show off the scarf. Great job in making homemade gifts.
