This weekend Ross and I lived it up. We bought a new vacuum. Correction - we bought two new vacuums - an upright for our ten square feet of carpet and a tank for all of those other hard to reach areas. This may not sound like a big deal to you but they seriously are awesome. First off, they weigh next to anything and these vacuums really can pick up a bowling ball - or at least a bunch of my hair that mysteriously falls out and is found all over the house. These vacuums are a huge improvement on the piece of jibbity-jive that we bought on Jill St. Johns' sister's recommendation at Target (that Eureka was a piece of junk!) we traded her in and Oreck gave us store credit. Speaking of which, if you are interested we received an Oreck coupon in the transaction and we can definitely forward it your way. I mean really, you can't put a price on cleanliness. You just can't.

Those vaccuums suck...literally! With all those vaccuums you'd think you had carpet on your floors, walls and ceilings. I think you really bought two because you though it would be romantic if you could both be vaccuuming at the same time.
I'm SOOO jealous! Our vacuum is about to go the way of the world. We are saving up for a special pet hair vacuum. We are hoping that our vacuum holds out until May.
I hope that you get every last piece of dust! That's so rewarding.
I might (seriously) be interested in the coupon. Do they make one especially for hard floors (like tile)? I am in the market. Let me know how it performs.
So in my quest to be like Kitty just as Jennifer Jason Leigh did to Bridget Fonda in Single White Female, I have followed in her footsteps and purchased the exact same Oreck vacuum. It is absolutely AMAZING!!! I’m not kidding. I have been on what I have always thought would be an endless search for a vacuum that could actually pick up dog hair from carpet. I have tried several models and even resorted to using my small hand held vacuum while on my hands and knees to clean the carpets. Until today that is. This vacuum is a miracle. It gets every speck of dirt and dog hair in the very first swipe across the carpet. Plus, it is so light weight. It is like you are floating on a cloud while your house magically becomes clean. Seriously, everyone must…MUST I say…go out immediately and get this vacuum. Get it now. You won’t regret it.
