We have wheels again

UPDATE: The Subaru is well and back at home! I picked it up this morning and it now has a new rear transmission gasket and transmission fluid. They also noticed that our check engine light was on and determined that it was due to low coolant/antifreeze so they loaded that up. All in all, we got out for a couple of hundred dollars which is SO much better than a new transmission or a new car. Really this just gives us some time to do some serious car shopping. Anybody have the inside track on a car dealer ?

Well, if you want to live out the dream that I had in college you will by an old VW van, paint it up like the Mystery Machine, and road trip to Burbank to be on the Price Is Right. Although, I'm not sure it would be the same now that Bob Barker is gone, but why not do it anyway? Maybe instead of TPIR you could be a contestant on the new American Gladiators.

Oh yeah, Ross. I'd love to see you on American Gladiator. In fact, we could call you the Rossiliminator. That means you'd be good at the Eliminator.

We may be in the market for another car here in the near future too. Our little Prism is almost at 150k miles, though you guys are beginning to make me think we've got YEARS left on her.

My in-laws just got a Dodge Caliber for a great deal at a car rental place (they could turn right around and resell it for profit, if they wanted to). We're looking into it too, since the cars are typically in good shape with really low mileage. Maybe you can even find one with a mini! Just an idea.

Long live Subey!

carmax was the best thing for us when we moved to NC. I flew in, got a ride to the airport and in two hours drove off in my car. It was soooo easy and they have tons of cars on thier website so you can check it out. BTW a mini is my dream car ever since watching "the italian job" it just doesn't handle carseats too well :-0
