Anybody remember the old Burlington Coat Factory commercial that starting with "Old man winter is here . . . " and showed pictures of kids getting on a school bus in the winter? It kinda looks like that now in Chicago. Actually it's not really THAT bad, but you would think by the way people at my work are talking about it that we were about to be cut off from civilization or something. I really liked walking around in the snow this morning in my snow boots. It made me miss snow shoeing in American Fork canyon. If it keeps snowing, I might just wish I had those here.

Just so you know--it is a lot like that here too. So cold that you don't want to stand at the pump to put gas in your car or unload your groceries from the shopping cart. Personally, I like it when the weather behaves like it is supposed to. -Carrie
When I started to read this blog posting I assumed that Kris Tina wrote it and as I read along about enjoying the walk in the snow I was thinking "she is so full of you know what". Kris Tina complains about the Chicago weather like Greg's co-workers do. To hear her tell about getting to work you'd think she was trekking across the Arctic Circle during the ice age.
Until I read the comment from "anonymous," I thought KT wrote it too, and I thought, "Wow. That's odd. KT and I were talking just yesterday about how horrible the cold weather was in Chicago." I really should learn to pay attention to details.
Ross, you're such a good person to bear your sufferings with such a good attitude. Snow is beautiful -- when you're inside, drinking some delicious hot chocolate and reading a lovely novel. It is even beautiful for the first five seconds when you step out onto the front step to breathe in the night air. But that's it. After that it's just cold. And cold weather without snow is like the south without its grits and greens. It's just wrong.
Mr. Anonymous - SHOW YOURSELF! I don't complain about the weather - I enjoy freezing - it gives me an excuse to wear all my knitted-ware at one time. But you're right we definitely need more posts from Greg provided they are reader friendly.
Just FYI, it does say who makes the post at the bottom next to the comments link. To eliminate any future confusion. Cheers!
Does anyone know the where abouts of Tince? So fun to run into your blog!
What in the world ? Lys - I have been looking for you all my life! I'm so excited to hear from you!
