Christmas NEED List #2

Dear Santa,

I am not a big fan of Oprah but "The Workhorse" LOVES Oprah's favorite things so I always have to check them out. . . and yes, Oprah does make pretty great recommendations. So Santa you can bring me any of these items and I will be thrilled:

But please please please please DO NOT bring me this:

I don't want it. And I think it is ugly.

Thanks.

Wait...is that flowy jumpsuit really one of the big O's favorite things? I am reaffirmed in my commitment to be cynical of everything that Oprah says.

Oh Lindy-of-little-faith -- those jumpsuits might seem like a fashion disaster now but, as we all know, Oprah is THE definer of what's popular in modern culture. It's only a matter of time before those jumpsuits make their way into everyone's wardrobe, providing comfort and confidence at a high-powered business dinner or a casual evening in front of the fire.
It's inevitable. Not necessarily good or tasteful -- just inevitable.

Oh my GOSH! Are you telling me I can buy italian gelato? I'm sorry, but that was one of my favorite things long before it was one of Oprah's favorite things (at least I think so). Please, please get some chocolate hazelnut gelato and enjoy every morsel.

And if those are jumpsuits, does that mean they are one piece? Heaven help us all...especially Oprah.

Actually, looking at the flowy jumpsuit again (I am truly intrigued), doesn't it look like something Professor Preston would wear? In leather?

Excellent call - Cheryl already has one and she would likely belt it or as I say, "cinch it."

Calm down, ladies! This so called "jump suit" is clearly a 2 piece, bell-bottomed work of art. Kitty, are these the pants that your mom saw on the Oprah show and told you that you should get a pair...for $195?

Abby--you are so right. Oprah can always speak to the fashion future. I'm not saying she should, but that she does. Also, this is absolutely Cheryl Preston all the way! I feel like there's someone else we know who would have this. Oh yeah--Todd! I'm pretty sure it's his travel outfit.

How dare you, Lindy! You know I prefer traveling in my Juicy Couture velour sweat suit.

Hey there stranger,
I just got your Christmas card and loved it. You are ever so clever. Sadly, your chain will not have a card from us. I know, I know, slacker. However, you can look on my blog and find our Christmas letter. I look forward to yours every year to find out what wonderful and exciting things you have done this year. Sounds like it continues on. I hope you have fun in China.
