All Aboard!

After a long day at work on Friday I had the pleasure of riding the CTA Santa Express train. For some reason it was absolutely awesome. Maybe it was the free candy canes or the fact that I just appreciate CTA trying to do something. . . anything. But it was pretty fun. These pictures don't really do it justice. I was sitting on the train next to a lady that said, "well this is my stop, but this is so much fun I'm just going to keep riding along." I am not going that far - but hey who doesn't want to see a brightly lit up CTA train bustling (or crawling) along?

Why do these things not happen whe I am in Chicago and riding the train? This makes me want to ride the train more often. Well, this and wanting to catch my flight on time. That's not a criticism of anyone's sense of direction. It's just a comment.

I love trains! I love trains when they are squeaky, crowded, and smelly. I cannot imagine how awesome it would be to ride them when they are festive and fun!

Abby-you need to come and visit and we will do our very best to ride the Christmas train. It is fantastic-especially when they play Harry Connick Jr.'s Christmas CD while driving around.

Todd--I think that is a criticism a harsh one. But one that is very very very true. You need to get Ross a GPS system for Chrstimas--or better yet-perhaps you should buy Ross a new car for Christmas that has a GPS system built in. You can just wrap it in a big red bow. I think that would be great. Thanks a bunch!

Yes, that would be a nice gift, but one you are not likely to get from me for one reason and one reason only...you just invited Abby to come visit and ride the train instead of me. HOW RUDE!

Todd--you know that you are always invited to come and visit us. Provided you find a way to and from the airport-you don't want to be trapped in another long excursion where Ross thinks he knows where he is going.
