Tomorrow KT and I are going to tend (yes Todd, tend) several children tomorrow. KT seems to think it will go well and is excited, but she has all kinds of experience with the young people. I am a little worried that it will end up being like the failed first draft of the Pacifier. The one where the main character (lets call him "Ross") tries to take care of the loveable children and they end up tying him up to a flagpole and throwing nerf balls at his head. Or there is the herding cats scenario where we have to go to the store for some reason only to see all of the kids going in different directions. I do know that I'm not taking anybody to Toys R Us. Last time that happened I had a screaming toddler in my arms yelling "choo choo, choo choo" through all the tears. I tried. To be fair, these really are awesome kids. We will probably have the time of our lives. I mean I'm just a big kid anyway. My question is: anybody have any ideas about what activities to do after the first half hour when I run out of material and they can see the fear in my eyes?

Ahh, yes. I suddenly had flashbacks of when Steve and I had to keep eleven three-year-olds entertained every other Sunday for two straight hours. Wow. I was always ready for a nap after church. I wish I had answers for you Ross, but in my eyes it really is a matter of survival. Sing, dance, color, build towers, play pretend, read stories, use puppets, quote Star Wars...anything! The fact that you two are a couple of the most entertaining individuals I know certainly plays in your favor. Good luck, have fun, and take that nap!
Oh Greg--you underestimate yourself. I'm confident you were a huge hit. (Have you forgotten about Hawaii?) I was btw super impressed that that was how you and Krissi spent your Saturday. When are you moving back? --CARRIE
