T is for grateful

In honor of it being the month of thanks, otherwise known as November, I have decided that everyday I should post about why I am grateful. I am starting this a little late . . . but better late than never.
Today I am grateful for daylight savings. It was so wonderful to realize that I had a whole extra hour before church. Not so wonderful to realize that this meant a longer fast Sunday (an oxymoron) and darker a whole lot earlier. But there really is something fantastic about looking at the clock and realizing--aha I am tricking that clock it really isn't that late.

What a great idea. I'm thankful for your good example. :)

Jim had a little issue with daylight savings and got it backwards. So he showed up to church for a 7:30 meeting at 5:30 in the morning. He grew up in Arizona and thinks it silly that North Carolina (or the whole rest of the US for that matter) "believes in daylight savings."

I think this gratitude idea is great and I am going to say a big "amen" to the daylight savings thing. I love that it's light outside again at 6:00 am -- it makes it so much easier to get out of bed.

I will have to disagree, the fact that it is dark at 5:00 makes me feel that I am being cheated out of part of the day. Plus the sun starts getting low and I think "work is almost done, it is getting dark" and then the clock laughs and throws a 4:00 back in my face. KT way to be grateful.
