I am the first to admit that I am a bit of a Scrooge when it comes to Christmas time. But for some reason this year is different. Maybe it is because we won't really be celebrating Christmas this year or maybe I have all of the sudden become a nicer person. I'm not sure. Nevertheless, I have been into Christmas (now that Thanksgiving is over--I have strict rules about that). I have been listening to two great Christmas albums. No, one of them is not Josh Groban. Instead, I am all about celebrating a Canadian Christmas--it is barenaked ladies and sarah mclachlan. BNL has a hilarious song told from the perspective of an elf who hates his job putting together crappy toys and Sarah has some awesome arrangements and her cover of "River" is fantastic. Just so you know.

I have that BNL CD and I do love the elf song about bringing down the man. I could have burned you a free and illegal copy of mine had I known you wanted it.
***DISCLAIMER*** I am in no way suggesting that I would burn or distribute illegal copies of copyright protected music. I was only stating that I could have done so.
I really love the Sarah/BNL combo of God Rest Ye Marry Gentlement, so I have no trouble believing their respective Christmas CDs are fantastic. Thanks for the recommendation.
Also, I don't like Josh Groban. I'll probably get arrested for saying that. I'm sure there is a special CIA task force that just monitors the Internet for negative comments about Josh Groban, but I have my integrity.
This also reminds me of the wonderful Christmas CD Kitty produced when we were co-workers during her days in Kansas City. (This period is what Kitty often refers to as "the best time of my life".) One of the top tracks on the disk was Pine Cones and Holly Berries by the Osmonds. Ahhh, the memories!
I hated that pine cones and sappy berries song on that CD. The rest of that CD was fantastic though.
The Morg--you are just plain jealous that you can't hit those high notes like Jimmy can. Just jealous. Also everyone loves the Osmond's--just look how well Marie did on Dancing With the Stars and she seriously couldn't dance worth crap!
Marie many not be able to dance worth crap, but she makes beautiful, beautiful dolls for sale on QVC. They make great Christmas gifts and you will love them like your own child...if your own child looked like a plastic clone of Marie who would murder you in your sleep the first chance she got.
