This morning at the gym I discovered that my shoes had absolutely had it. Absolutely.
I knew that my shoes were on the downhill but I am so blasted cheap, or rather frugal, I just couldn't force myself to get some new ones. Ross knew my dilemma and took matters into his own hands.

Oh Kitty, I can't believe Ross would waste hard earned money on a new pair of shoes when those old ones simply need patching up. Why didn't you just duct tape them? They'd be as good as knew.
Funny that you would criticize Ross for spending money. You, who (although not materialistic) just love nice things and can't spend your cash fast enough. How many times have you filed for bankruptcy now? Are you up to 5?
I can't help it that I have to buy a lot of duct tape to hold all my worldly posessions together. The only reason you can claim to be so "frugal" is that you send Ross out to do all of your spending and then at the end of the month you are cursing him while you stand in the cold waiting in line at the soup kitchen.
