TV Mash-ups

I was thinking that it would be interesting to see TV show mash-ups that combine my favorite characters from different shows. They do this all the time in the world of comics. You see Superman and Batman team up. Or all of a sudden Batman meets the X-men. Not sure if the latter ever happened, but you get the point. So maybe we could have Bluth Construction move in next door to Dunder Mifflin. Instead of pretzel day, it could be frozen banana day that Stanley looks forward to. Gob could try and entertain everyone with his magic tricks (sorry, illusions). Then all we would need if for Alex P. Keaton to work at Dunder Mifflin corporate and Zack Morris as the new intern.

I wonder how I could work Crockett and Tubbs into this . . .

Incidently, while looking for pictures to use in this post, I found this picture that pretty much summs up my childhood. I can't tell you how much of my early life is represented in this one picture. I don't pretend to understand it. I just have to accept it.

Ross--you are addicted to television. ADDICTED. Also what if "the Ricker" would show up driving his train around?

You are so right, Ross. TV mash-ups are a fantastic idea indeed and have been since the beginning of time. Kitty may say you watch too much TV, but I must disagree and say you watch too little since you have missed out on many of TV’s greatest moments. Crossovers are as old the television itself and I feel that a TV show is hardly worth watching until it has crossed over with other classic shows. Here are some crossovers that you will wish you’d seen:

Blossom and The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air
Day By Day and Family Ties
Fantasy Island and The Love Boat
Silver Spoons and Diff'rent Strokes
Murder, She Wrote and Magnum, P.I.
Magnum, P.I. and Simon and Simon
Full House and Family Matters

You don’t believe me??? Oh yes, I can hear all of you doubting Thomases out there saying “what the freak is the ToddCat talking about?” Well check it out for yourselves; there is a whole website dedicated to tracking the crossover phenomena: http://www.poobala.com/crossoverlist.html

Murder, She Wrote and Magnum, P.I.?! Now there is a crossover for the history books!

Yes, Murder, She Wrote and Magnum, P.I. was a good crossover. In case you were wondering, Jessica and Magnum did not have a steamy love affair, but they did solve lots of mysteries together.

I'm most interesting in the Blossom/Fresh Prince crossover. I mean, that sounds like a true gem. Turly outrageous. I would also fully support Dunder Miflin indulging in a frozen banana.

Did you guys know Ricky Schroeder is Mormon?

Kris Tina said...

Oh yes-I know that the ricker is a mormon. I know this because he is in my sister-in-laws parents ward. That's right. So my sister-in-law and brother were visiting the in-laws and who is there? That's right-the Ricker himself.

Well, he's not a very modest Mormon. I once saw the Ricker expose his bare butt on NYPD Blue. No, he's not modest at all.
