true confessions

For some reason I have decided that it is time to let the blog public know this very embarrassing story of mine. We are all guilty of blog surfing (or at least I like to believe that everyone blog surfs--that way it makes me feel better about my own surfing) but where is the line drawn so it becomes blog stalking? Don't get me wrong--people could surf or stalk me and my husband's blog and I think it's fun to get to know new friends-but others are more wary of this strange phenomenon--anyway back to my embarrassing story. So from a friend of a friend of a friend (who knows really) I happened upon this girl's blog that I loved. She posts often (so it makes it fun), she writes about interesting things, she talks about new clothes she loves (it makes shopping so much easier when it is already recommended by someone else), and she seems really interesting. So you could say--I was a regular of her blog. So I was shocked, hurt, and upset when she made a post that said she would be "going private" with her blog. Meaning, you can only look at her blog if you are on "the list." Honestly, when I read this post it came close to ruining my day. I mean--come on! So I bit the bullet and sent her an e-mail introducing myself--trying to convince her that I am just a normal person who I think would be her friend if she knew me. Well thank goodness----she put me on "the list." Now I can read her blog and not feel guilty.

I don't really know the point of this story. I'm just working on making my entries more "high-brow." And yes, this is apparently a very "high-brow" story.

I'm not sure a story describing what appears to be leading up to a potential felony kidnapping is what I would call "high-brow", but if that's the spin you want to put on it I won't stand in your way.

(PS- I hope that girl doesn't read YOUR blog because after this she is really going to think you are obsessed in a Single White Female sort of way. You are already buying the same clothes she does and next you'll be copying her hair style.)

Oh...this just makes me so intrigued. Do you think she will let me on her blog list too? Maybe as an A-lister you can put in a good word for me.

I have been reading a certain girl's blog for about 3 years now and I've never met her; in fact, she isn't even a friend of a friend of a friend. I'm not sure how I ran across her blog - I think it was from a google search. In the past several months, she has totally stopped blogging whatsoever. It stresses me out a little and I do wonder if she's "okay," but what am I supposed to do? Send her an email and tell her I truly care? That's weird.

Lisa,

You should definitely let her know that you truly care. Perhaps she stopped blogging just because she thought no one was into it. Also fyi-part of me is tempted to send this post to my blogging friend but then again, the other part of me thinks-she already thinks I am single white female stalker.

I already assurued the judge that you were no threat at all when she called about the possibility of the restraining order. I said, she is an attorney just like you and she has stress. She just likes to read the blog, is that so wrong? I vouched for your awesomeness and so they decided you were okay. You're welcome.

Shana, everyone knows you are the one who posted a comment and then deleted it only to post another comment a minute later. What everyone wants to know is what did that first comment say. I think we have a right to know. What do you have to say for yourself?

I realized the the Carlklef Chronicles may have some stricter policies on commenting on their blog than does.. lets say the CatBox.

Trust me, Shana, the Carlklef Chronicles may try to give the illusion that they are high-brow, but don't be fooled. Kitty would like you to believe that you are reading the blog equivalent to the New Yorker, but we all know it is more like "the Text", aka Us Weekly.
