1) The Closer. Who knew this would be so good? We started watching this season (the 3rd) mostly because KT read it was good and we could record the episodes and watch them when convenient (see the DVR tie-in). I was surprised at not only the acting but the great stories in these episodes. So much so that we are watching the first two seasons through Netflix (tie-in # 2). Unlike the CSI type shows, I find myself really interested in the characters almost more than the stories. We fully recommend this series.
2) Heroes. Somehow we completely missed last season of Heroes. So with the new season approaching, we decided to Netflix the first and see what all the hype was about. Believe the hype, because we are now avid Heroes fans. Still only half way through season 1, but we can't seem to get the discs in the mail soon enough. Seeing the "To Be Continued . . . " is almost the same feeling as seeing 11:59:59 at the end of an episode of 24. We highly recommend Heroes.
3) Damages. The first episode of this F/X series(Tangent Alert: does anybody remember the movie F/X2? - just wondering) was so-so for me until near the end when the focus of the story suddenly become clear to me. I thought it was some lame-o lawyer show KT had wanted to check out (which is weird because she already lives lawyer drama by day). Turns out it is quite a gripping drama/mystery. We expect great acting from Glenn Close, but to get it from Ted Danson, really surprised me. Who knew? F/X apparrantly. Be warned that it is more gritty than your average tv drama, but worth a look.
So that's the round-up. Feel free to comment or make any recommendations you may have.

Ross--you are making it sound like we watch TV 24-7. You make us sound so boring--you should have put in there that we also like soup and snow peas.
...and the two of you can talk or not talk for hours...
Nicole just wanted to say congrats of two years of marriage and that yes she would appreciate a good fanning and maybe a chocolate or two. Now that you have two years of marriage to celebrate, I think it calls for a vacation to... say, North Carolina!!
Ross, maybe you should be a t.v. critic -- those reviews were riveting. I got to the end of each description and all I could think was "SOLD!"
KTC, how can your life possibly seem boring when you are watching such exciting stuff! Not everyone can be Jack Bauer but nearly everyone can watch him and that's the next best thing.
I have decided not to watch it again because the humor is usually quite adult (I'm still basically a teenager), but I LOVE It's Always Sunny in Philedelphia. Even just the commericials That show is hilarious, and I do mean hilarious. I honestly almost felt like I was watching Arrested Development again, but a much cruder late-night version full of swearwords. I didn't know Danny DeVito had that kind of humor in him.
Also, I can't support your watching Heroes--even those commericials annoy me! I don't really like Ali Larter, except in Legally Blonde, and that teenage girl bugs.
Dear Lindy,
Sometimes I don't know how to take your criticism. I mean honestly, you are a person who loves (i repeat LOVES) the movie, "Daddy Day Care" and "The Pacifier." And I mean "Big Business" is good but I have to admit I think "Heroes" is better. It looks like you are confusing your US Magazine reading real life (I KNEW you still would make time for that) with tv real life. TV real life is much more interesting. And yes, the cheerleader is lame-o but on the show I like her.
Lindy, I just last night started to watch Heroes so I can't tell you if it will be worth it or not, but how much fun would it be for you and I to watch it together...and by together I mean at different times and in different states? Just think about it. Also, I have seen It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and it is really funny. I think I'm going to start TIVO-ing it. We could watch that together, too. Just think of all the fun we will have watching endless hours to television. That is what has made Ross and Kitty's marriage so strong and I know it can do the same for our friendship.
