I can't support these
Ever since I found out about "boots" like this I have had them on my mind. I finally have come to a conclusion. I don't like them. But it seriously has taken me five days to come to that conclusion. And for some reason . . . I'm still thinking about them. I'm intrigued but I just can't imagine wearing them. And they do look funny.

I'm not really sure why it took five days but I have to say that I definitely think you came to the right conclusion. Can we even call these boots? Aren't they just character shoes with a 1980s leg warmers insert? This is worse than the fashion world's (thankfully) short-lived experiment with the boots and capris. :)
I don't know about the Anikan shirt but I guess the boots might look okay if you were going to star in a film adaptation of Henry James.
I actually think these would be very cute shoes wtihout any of the "boot" attributes. What is this world coming to?
Abby-I appreciate your fashion advice but remember that one day that you laughed when I had on that totally awesome outfit and you had to recant that laugh three months later after you realized that it was all the rage? I certainly remember thay day. I certainly do.
Um. I never recanted. Never. I still insist that was a mistake. I don't care if the Olsen twins thought it was hotter than hot. They also think it's fasionable to have no more than a CD's width between your belly-button and backbone.
Todd--you made me buy that Anakin Skywalker shirt. I thought people like you had class and fashion sense. Whoa did you dispell that stereotype.

Dear KTC, you have always been the fashion icon of our circle of friends, and that includes me and Abby and Ross. I think the shoes are very ugly, but also very hip. Sometimes trends that are all the rage are ugly. So even though the muse of fashion tricked you into buying those shoes, I'm glad you came to your senses.
Bet open to all commenters: $50 says KTC, upon further reflection and pressure from the people, buys another pair of shooties this season.
I was shocked to see that these boots came back when I was out somewhere and saw a similar pair. I think they were wrong in the 80's and they are certainly wrong now!!
