We have a lawsuit on our hands

This morning I decided I was going to enjoy all the comforts that I can't find in Chicago . . . like Sonic. I stopped at Sonic this morning thinking, "I'm going to pick myself up a diet dr. pepper slush." Honestly, if you haven't had one of these things you should. They are delicious. I have enjoyed many Sonic diet Dr. Pepper slushes and everytime I have thought, "wow a slush from the fountain makes all the difference in the world." Well this dream was shattered this morning. Shattered. As I requested my favorite treat the man told me that he would make my slush with diet Dr. Pepper but the slush mix is made with sugar water so, and I quote, "if you are diabetic or something you probably shouldn't have one of these." I am not diabetic but um I wish someone would have told me sooner. This explains why when Ross and I bought a slushmaker thing (trying to imitate the deliciousness of the Sonic slushes) we just couldn't make it taste as good. This also explains why I don't have a six-pack. I think I'm going to sue. Or at least be mad about it for two more minutes.

This sounds like the new McDonalds hot coffee situation to me. I say we teach Sonic a lesson - so they will think twice about making those delicious slushes. Mmmm - slush. Do you think you could bring one home to me on the plane?

T--posts like this are why I love reading your blog! I'm so glad I'm in on the loop with you now. I've missed your humor all these years since being at the "Center" together. Thanks for giving me a good smile every few days. :)

KT--the real tragedy is not that no one told you about the sugar water until now, but that you found out at all. Ignorance, after all, is bliss. I absolutely HATE it when I find out a delicious treat that I thought was guilt free is indeed not a very good idea.

Lindy-you are exactly right. I wish that blabber mouth working the drive-through would have just kept that information to himself.
