The kids are naturals

On my brief sojourn to SLC I was able to see the star-studded Draper community musical, "The Music Man." Let's put it this way--my nieces and nephew were naturals. With every cast song these kids were able to make their way, slowly but surely, around other cast members and various props and scenery----to the front of the stage where the audience could see and appreciate them. It was fantastic. I also loved it when Drake waived to me from the stage. Here is a picture of Drake using the "think system" to play my sister's clarinet (the one she has had since she was in 6th grade) and of course, my lovely nieces and (sister and brother-in-law) posing in their costumes. My favorite picture, however, is this one of my favorite sister. With a mom like this--how can her kids not be born to act?

Sarah said that she didn't want to do a play ever again, Drake said that he would do one, "maybe in 30 years." Elise also is on the fence . . . but Lauren loved it. Absolutely loved it. I think, however that they were all bit by the acting bug. . . after all, while walking them home from school on Friday--they couldn't stop singing, "The Wells Fargo Wagon."

Wow. Those costumes are excellent. Just looking at them made me homesick for Gary, Indiana. Well done! KTC, if you were a really dedicated aunt, we'd have some video footage of the event. I love the Wells Fargo Wagon song.

Oh Abby, the music man is copyrighted to high heaven. I'll see what bootleg stuff my brother will send.

If unwillingly forced in the right direction, Drake could be the next MacCauley Culkin.

Wow. What a stunning review. The whole experience was worth it just to make the front page of your blog. BTW--correction--Drake said he wants to sign up "for the next 30 years" meaning yes MacCauley Culkin look out.

Well if Drake is going Hollywood I suggest he start auditioning for Lifetime made-for-TV movies. Everyone knows that's where all promising careers get started.

Carrie, were you in the play, too, or is that how you dress for any family outing? I'm not judging, just commenting.
