no fruit left behind

Ross and I made a huge commitment last Saturday. We bought about 30 lbs worth of fruit at Costco. Earlier in the week we attended a farmer's market hoping to take care of our fruit fix. Unfortunately, the only fruit available were some strawberries and rhubarb--we decided we needed more of a variety. At Costco I think our eyes were bigger than our stomach and we purchased (yes, for the two of us) blueberries, blackberries, cherries, apples, clementines, and a large container full of honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple, and grapes. Thank goodness right now I am going through a phase where I don't want anything to go to waste otherwise we would be in big trouble. But, thanks to some careful planning and a lot of lunch packing we are making our way through the fruit and enjoying every minute of it. At this point I think the only thing that is going to have to be thrown out are the clementines. They're out of season.

mmmmm... Sounds delicious. Next time you visit the Cosco let me know, I want to be a free rider and get in on your card. I am too cheap to buy one! Oh by the way, are we hanging out this weekend? I am thinking Red Robin! When do I get to see Todd again? Doesn't he ever want to visit you guys?

You are more than welcome to come with us on our next Costco run. Just be aware . . . it might be the lighting or the "warehouse" atmosphere--but you can easily get sucked into buying things you didn't plan on buying. Like 20 extra pounds of fruit.
