The Crime . . .

Bad bad bad news. Yesterday Ross and I rode our bike to the gym (like usual) and locked it up using a cheap steel cable. The cable is easier to use than the U-lock and works for two bikes instead of just one. Well, that's the last time we use the cable. As I was working out Ross randomly looked at the window and what did he see? My bike looking sad laying there on the sidewalk and his bike? Gone. Gone with the wind. We cut our workout a bit short and went to investigate. Unfortunately the only clues left behind was the clean cut steel cable, with the lock still attached and curled around my bike. We have also decided that the thief must have been a boy because he didn't steal my delightful, new, girly bike with the basket, instead he stole the manly looking bike even though it is over six years old and in dire need of a tune up. Let's hope he needed a bike and wasn't trying to trade the bike in for cash (he would definitely come up short). If you have any information or further clues for us to use to solve the case of the missing bicycle please let me know. ASAP.

Oh the nerve of people, Looks like all donations going for that camera may really have to be for a new bike. This bit of information has been troubling to me. I hate feeling totally violated. Hang in there Ross, you'll get through it. Take a look below at the man hidden in the fruit, that might divert your mind for a while.(It is a tad disturbing). One day I will have to tell you the story of our biggest run in with a thief.

Jinkies! That's quite a mystery. I hope the crime scene wasn't tainted by the paparazzi and their picture taking. There's a lot to think about when solving a mystery like this. For starters, who would have the motive to take your bike? I would guess someone without a bike. You did an excellent job noting that they took a boy bike and not the new girl bike with a basket. I feel we are getting close to locating the perp already. I suspect the thief will return to the scene of the crime and will likely be returning atop your bike, Ross. That's when you nail him. It's time for a stake out! In preparation for this step I would suggest watching the hit 1987 film “Stakeout” and the highly acclaimed 1993 sequel “Stakeout 2” starring Richard Dreyfuss and Emilio Estevez. Too bad you don't have that new camera yet. It sure would help if you could photograph some clues.

Don't forget Stakeout 2 also starred the famous Rosie O'Donnell.

...not to mention Dennis Farina and Cathy Moriarty. Now that is what I call an all-star cast!

Perhaps this movie needs to be reviewed on the catbox. I'll look into it.

Wow this conversation drifted away from Ross and the search for the thief to a movie critique. Good luck fellow detectives!
