Welcome?

I am not sure about this but we are doing it anyway. A form of journal/diary/voyuerism. Oh well. Let's just dive in. Today is Mother's Day which when I was single was really just Girl's Day. Since I am not a mother I have strongly encouraged Ross to keep up the tradition of treating this as Girl's Day. He's done a good job. Yesterday he surprised me with a plant (flowers die--hence I prefer a plant). This morning he surprised me with a bike . . . with a basket! We've been shopping around for a bike for a bit and we found one I liked but we decided to "wait on it." Well Ross decided to take the plunge and wheeled it in this morning. Excellent job! We took our bikes out for a spin (it's finally warm enough) and I seriously looked like Jessica Fletcher sitting up straight and tall just plugging around town. It was awesome.

Dear Kitty & Ross,

Congratulations on the birth of your blog. I know you have envied a certain other blog (that shall remain nameless for possible legal reasons) and I fully expect the Carlklef Chronicles to put that blog to shame. I can’t tell you what an honor it is to be the first to comment on your blog. Rest assured, I will have endless comments on each entry you make, much as I do about every aspect of your lives.

Let’s get down to business—as you have yet to provided the appropriate photo documentation, I can only assume that, like Jessica Fletcher, your are riding around town in a trench coat solving mysteries. I hope you will write about your mysteries in your blog, as we both know that is exactly what Jessica would do if she were still investigating crimes today.

Happy blogging. I can’t wait to read more about your exciting experiences on your new bike.
