I thought I was through with finals.

Last night I took another law school final. What in the? I finished law school, I passed the bar why do I need to take another? The firm encouraged and even paid for me and the other tax associates to take an L.L.M. course this semester. The one catch? We have to report our grades and take the course "seriously."

I decided to take the hardest tax course I could find. . . partnership tax, it's also the area that I felt the weakest. I learned a lot and hopefully will be able to apply it in my career but last night the final was hard. I felt so out of practice of taking law school exams. There were three problems in this three hour exam. Two of the problems I was able to muddle through but one of them I just kept going back to. I'm still thinking about it. Oh well. C'est la vie.

Here's a picture of our kitchen table with all my study materials spread out the night before.

Never, never take a picture like that again. I had an instant law school flashback and it was not pleasant.

I hope that final went as well as most of your law school finals.

Yes, I'll admit that image made me sick to my tummy as well (and it wasn't the baby kicking either). Ahh, the memories...I'm glad you still have your pink waterbottle!
