weekend wrap-up (3-2)

Henry's trauma of the high chair continues. This weekend he was so mad that we were actually making him sit in the chair that he twisted and turned and tantrummed himself out of it. For a 22 lb weakling - he really is the boss. Unfortunately, all his twisting and turning resulted in us discovering that Henry inherited my Achilles heel . . . double jointed elbows!

The sad thing is, we didn't discover he had popped his elbow out of socket until an hour later when we realized that he refused to hold anything with his left hand. Off to instacare and a quick pop and we turned this guy:

into this guy . . . our own personal janitor.

Oh and we also watched the movie Argo, worked on me completing all those ridiculous pinterest projects so that we'll have blog fodder, picked ourselves up a 44 oz at the beloved Walker's/7-11, grocery shopped (at Winco - of course), celebrated my parent's upcoming birthday with a good ol' fashioned family talent show, went on a phone fast, and managed to go to church where Henry flirted with everyone in the back. Not interested in listening at church? Sit in the back and Henry will keep you entertained. I don't think a 15 month old has any idea what reverence means and we certainly are not the ones to teach him.

  1. Poor Henry. He probably injured himself to get out of all the housework you make him do. One day he'll write a book about you and they will make a Lifetime movie out of it.

  2. And we ran a 5K with Henry on Friday night!

  3. Abby's elbow popped out when I was holding her hand and trying to get across the Costco parking lot during one of her tantrums. I told the doctor it should be called a tantrum elbow instead of a nursemaid's elbow (I didn't need any collateral guilt, thank you very much)!

  4. Toddcat - Kathie Lee is so jealous of Henry's work ethic.

  5. Man you are busy! I have brought more than one child to the dr. for that same thing and I am always so relieved it is such a quick fix. But they are always so sad beforehand. I bet he is a killer vacuumer. And gotta love the high chair tantrum. So great. :)
