Friday Favorites (3-8)

Just a recap of our weekly favorites.

Henry apparently loves horses this week:

and snow shovels:

I love that we haven't needed snow shovels this week.

I finished listening/reading the story of stuff. I really can't recommend this book enough. It is another one of those books that once you learn this information - you don't want to be the same. Really - it makes me want to downsize and purge and compost and be a better steward of the earth.  But at the same time - it's so much easier to just lull myself back into my stuff induced slumber. Read it. Listen to it. Whatever. It's great.

Greg is loving March Madness  - thanks to my pops he's been attending the games and apparently Harvard's cheerleaders are just normal looking and (if you can believe this) Harvard didn't even have a mascot at the game! The horror! I love that I picked Harvard to win the first game. Ha!

Our office is also loving March Madness - check out the April's contribution to tracking the games. The winner of the office bracket contest gets a great (yet to be determined) prize. I have a feeling a "free jeans day" isn't going to be enough.

  1. Henry is so glad you live out on the farm. You should sign him up for 4H so he can raise a prized pig.

Perhaps the March Madness prize for everyone should be that you dress as the mascot of the losing team of the final game. Unless it's Harvard...then just a jeans day.

  2. I will not be encouraging Henry to raise a pig. You should have seen how stressed out I got when Henry was digging in the dirt and then touching the horse. Greg says it's boy stuff - I say gross. Raising a pig is beyond my capacities.

I will not be dressing up as the mascot - I have to keep my professionalism street cred going.

  3. Tom Haverford does not approve this book recommendation.
