b.a.n.a.n.a.s (2-8)

Greg and I have made a commitment to actually stick to our grocery budget for the month of February. This means . . . no food left behind. When the bananas turned bad (as they do) - I actually followed through with my plan to make banana bread. I looked for a bunch of fancy/interesting recipes of banana bread but I have to admit - my mom's standard recipe (that I always call her for) is the easiest and the best.

5 bananas (whip up)
4 eggs (whisk and then add to bananas)
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 cups flour
1 Tbs baking soda

Bake in greased pans at 320 degrees for about an hour (or more depending on the size of the loaf).

And voila - deliciousness abounds.

Sure- this post is boring but I can now save this to pinterest and I don't have to call my mom every time I need to make banana bread.

  4. Don't waste your time on anything else because I have the BEST banana bread recipe that gets a brown sugar crumb topping. I guess you could just add that to the top of anything and it would be awesomely delicious, though. Send me a loaf of your bread and ill tell you if it measures up.
