not to brag but . . .

Seriously, if you can't brag on a blog - where can you?

Greg was off at scout camp this past week (notice I'm again blogging about this after the fact so that all would-be murderers and psychos can't take advantage of this information). Scout Camp that provided cell phone service - so obviously he wasn't that far away.

In honor of him being gone I signed up for one of my favorite bike races in the world - Little Red Riding Hood. After spending a fantastic night in Logan at an amazing Best Western (thanks to my friend Amy for setting all that up) I got started. Originally I planned on riding only about 35 miles or so - I mean my first bike ride of the season was just on Thursday night (don't judge -it's been a cold spring). But I felt good . . . so I just kept on going. On my list of things to do this year was to ride a century bike ride. As I was plugging along I thought, "I might as well get that crossed off my list."

So voila - 100 miles (actually 101.13 but who's counting?) later - I finished. The best part is - I don't hurt at all. The worst part is - My legs (the legs that reflect light they are so white) are very very very sunburned. I have red cankles due to the sunburn swell. I won't be posting a picture of it because let's face it, no one wants to see that.

Excuse the crappy picture - I tried to document it but my camera was having none of it.

Kitty, I would like to congradulate you on such a fine achievement, but how am I to know that you rode 100+ miles in one day or if that is the total miles you've logged since purchasing that bike? I think posting a photo of some swollen red cankles would do it.

I wish I could have been there to throw buckets of Gatorade at you as you rode by.

Only you Toddcat would call into question whether or not I really did it - I did - I wouldn't lie on the blog. I just showed my cankles to "April" shimself could not believe it. Shimself thought it was a reaction to poison ivy.

Wow, I am impressed! Sorry about the legs and ankles. Maybe a couple of bottles of Aloe Vera would help along with some ice packs.

Do you think your condition is reversible or is it permanent? I wish Dear Abby would weigh in with some sound advice on how to cope.

Wow! You are pratically a superhero now. Do you have any weaknesses, other than the sun?
